This proposal for the new home of TSOA is located in the desert outside of Scottsdale, Arizona. I worked with two other students on this project; Alex Collins and Omar Mansur. This location and the design process of architecture inspired us to create a journey through our campus; one that is both physical and metaphorical. Our site starts low on the mountain and ramps up through the administrative offices, classrooms, library, shop space, and assembly space all the way to the gallery. The ground outside the campus rises faster than within, so by the end, a journeyer will be encased in a canyon filled with the products of many an architecture student’s labor.
